More History

I also designed a slightly different version of the cross necklaces. Instead of colored copper wire, I use sterling silver or 14k gold filled wire and add a small gemstone to the center.

Well, after making the crosses for about a year or so, I stumbled on a website about creating wire jewelry using 14k gold filled and sterling silver wire. It definately looked interesting and the more I read the more I thought “if I can make those crosses, I can make other types of jewelry” and such started my small home based business. I love designing and creating unique jewelry. It’s so exciting to see a bunch of supplies end up being a beautifully crafted piece of art!  Well, that about sums up the history of my jewelry making.

I can’t believe it’s almost the new year!

Merry Christmas!

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

I figured I would jot a few quick words down while dinner is cooking.
I first started getting into jewelry making back in 2004 when my sister in law sent me information on making wire wrapped cross necklaces. She is always looking for ways to make extra money and thought I might be interested in this. So, I looked into it and my hubby said I should go for it and try it. Start up wasn’t too bad of a cost. So I did and thought I had made a BIG MISTAKE! It was soooo hard to get the wire wrapped on there right. After trying over and over and thinking “I’m wasting, I’m wasting” I decided to give up. Well, one more time. Got it! FINALLY!!!! Since then, I’ve been making and selling these cross necklaces and searching for new colors of wire to use. They are very popular.  More on this story next time!

New creations:

Great for the season, I used swarovski crystals (which I LOVE) and sterling silver to make these adorable  Santa Earrings. Although I think they would look better in the darker red color rather than light.

 Have a blessed Christmas!

Very First Post

Well, this is my very first post! I decided to start a blog to log updates to anything I’m doing with my jewelry business~and probably some nonsense too! Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog to stay updated!

This is my logo

Here are some ideas I have for blogging:

I guess I should start at the beginning and tell you a little about why I started making jewelry. I’ll break it down into separate posts so your eyes don’t get too tired!

I’ll also keep you up to date with what’s new. Different designs I’m working on and new interesting supplies I’ve received.

I’ll add a few tips here and there and a few snippets of useful or maybe useless jewelry information.

Stay tuned and I’ll write again soon!
